EGTC-Workshop 2013/4 (Alsóörs)

Alsóörs, 27-28 November 2013

The fourth workshop of the EGTCs with Hungarian participation took place in Alsóörs on 27-28 November 2013, organised by CESCI. 11 EGTCs, the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, the Széchenyi Programme Office and the representatives of two expert firms were present at the workshop.

The participants were informed about the modified EU EGTC regulation, the EGTC fee initiated by the Committee of Regions, the EGTCs that are in progress and the preparation of the INTERREG programmes along the border.

Two EGTCs were introduced at the workshop: the Via Carpatia with a seat in Košice, incorporating the two neighbouring regions, and the Sajó-Rima/Slaná-Rimava with a seat in Putnok, established by the cooperation of four city governments.

The representatives of the EGTCs unanimously complained that it is one thing they are not involved in the programming processes of domestic operational programmes, but they are also not involved in the programming processes of cross-border INTERREG programmes in many cases.

On the second day, Zsolt Veszelovszki offered the opportunity of cooperation for the new development of the Cartographia Kft. and regarding the Funiq tourism information platform, while the Opus Team Kft. shared their tendering experiences with the participants.

At the end of the workshop, the participants discussed next year’s work programme in detail.
