The Hungarian Geographical Society held an exciting scientific program in Szeged from September 18 to 21, where geographers presented their latest research findings at the Society’s annual conference. The event focused on current issues in earth sciences, geoinformatics, and sustainability. Participants listened to presentations on topics such as the effects of climate change, geomorphology, settlement and regional development strategies. CESCI was represented at the professional program by Director Mátyás Jaschitz, who shared the knowledge accumulated by our association in his comments on the presentations related to spatial processes in the Carpathian Basin and the topics of borders and identity. The conference also provided an opportunity for professional dialogue and the establishment of new partnerships.
