The BTC EGTC is managing another winning project

The application of the Volunteer Firefighter Association of Mórahalom called INTERREG V-A Romania-Hungary Programme ROHU 72 has received support for developments in the field of disaster protection, in partnership with organisations like the ADVIEST (RO), the Arad County Council (RO), the Temes County Council (RO) and the DKMT Danube-Kris-Mures-Tisa Euroregional Development Agency Nonprofit Public Benefit Limited (HU). The BTC EGTC has won the procedure issued for fulfilling project management duties and they are in fact fulfilling all project management duties according to the management contract with the Volunteer Firefighter Association of Mórahalom.

The overall aim of the project is to extend and improve emergency preparedness and disaster response in the counties across the Romanian-Hungarian border. In order to achieve the project objectives, the applying partners develop the opportunities of the joint strategy of emergency risk management and joint tactical applications at the seminars and field trips in the framework of the project. Also, the partners are organising trainings to educate and improve the experts who are intervening in case of an emergency.

The project’s most significant development regarding the Association is the purchase of a special multifunctional disaster protection vehicle with complemenary assets, which helps with fire protection and disaster protection in the regions of the three partner counties (Arad, Temes, Csongrád).
