CESCI’s planning work related to the Danube Transnational Programme is completed

| 24 February 2021

The Territorial Strategy of the Danube Transnational Programme developed by CESCI in 2020 was essentially adopted at the end of last year, leaving only the comments made by experts delegated by the Member States to be dealt with by the end of December and January of this year.

In line with the decisions of the fifth Task Force meeting on 3 and 4 November 2020 and the follow-up to the comments received, one of the main tasks was to write the largely missing design framework. Also, synergistic links between the strategic documents that fundamentally influence the planning of the 2021-2027 cycle and the possible activities included in the Strategy have been incorporated.

The revised version of the Territorial Strategy was completed on 13 January 2021. Thereafter, our relevant tasks, due to the internal scheduling of programming, were finally completed in early February 2021; the Task Force and the MA / JS then accepted the requested, latest amendments to the Territorial Strategy, and at that time we carried out an informal professional check of the programme template completed by the MA / JS on the basis of the Territorial Strategy.

Last but not least, we also updated the Territorial Analysis underpinning the Territorial Strategy in January in the light of the received territorial statistics in Moldova, so this task was also completed in early 2021.
