EGTC-Workshop 2013/2 (Piliscsaba)

Piliscsaba, 22-23 May 2013

The third workshop of the Europen Groupings of Territorial cooperation with Hungarian participants was held on 22nd-23rd May 2013, in Piliscsaba. The forum established in order to provide better information flow and the success of the organizations’ joint presence was attended by the representatives of the EGTCs and the colleagues of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice (KIM) and Office of Public Administration and Justice (KIH). CESCI was represented by Ocskay Gyula Secretary General.

Within the framework of the first agenda item Ocskay Gyula (CESCI) and dr Ivády Nóra (KIM) reported on the most important matters related to the EGTCs. The Secretary General of CESCI brought the upcoming deadline of the reporting obligation to the EGTC’s attention, then told about the importance of the national and international presence. To this end he made a proposal on that one of the EGTCs should join to the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and the representatives of the EGTC should take part in the work of the task forces of the EUDRS.

Dr Ivády Nóra made a presentation on the EGTC subsidy for year 2013, the actual standing of the EGTC Regulation, the programming and coordination related to ETC programmes, the activity of H4 HUNOR office in Brussels and the Pálfi Isván Memorial DAY 2013. At the end of the agenda item several questions and comments were made, related mainly to the Integrated Territoral Investments and the long-term financing of the EGTCs.

Within the confines of the second agenda item three EGTCs were introduced. The Banat- Triplex Copnfinuim EGTC was presented by  Dudás-Kószó Katalin manager, Csetnek Tímea director told about the activity of the Gate to Europe EGTC, while the Novohrad-Nógrád EGTC was introduced by Lóska János director.

Following the break three case studies were presented on the alternative ways of EGTC financing. Ocskay Gyula, on behalf of CESCI, also made a presentation. After the lectures the participants could draft their proposals.

On the second day of the meeting a consultation with the Office of Public Administration and Justice was held. The Office was represented by Fretyán Lívia and Szilágyi Orsolya who gave a detailed report on the most important elements to know of the EGTC tenders.

The next workshop of the European Groupings of Territorial cooperation are going to be held on July 2013.
