The Programming Committee of the Slovenian-Hungarian Joint Fund held its meeting in Felsőszölnök in the presence of CESCI

With the presence of the press, on February 14, 2024 the bilateral Programming Committee, which is working on launching the programme belonging to the Slovenian-Hungarian joint fund launched by the two prime ministers agreement in 2022, held its meeting in Felsőszölnök, with the participation of the two governments and the four founders of MURABA EGTC.

At the meeting, the parties agreed that the draft programme prepared by the EGTC (as the designated programme management body) corresponds to their intentions and is also suitable for further development. After listening to expert comments (our association was represented by director Mátyás Jaschitz at the meeting), the supporters and the founders also agreed that the programme would be launched in 2024 with four key strategic projects, providing a €500,000-€500,000 funding frame to support individual development ideas.

According to the plans, the beneficiaries could use the support under very favourable conditions (100% financing intensity and partial pre-financing option), but at the same time, it is a difficulty that the projects must be successfully completed within the calendar year. In the coming weeks, through the MURABA EGTC, the future project managers will receive expert support on both sides, and the programming background material will also be reviewed and finalised. The conditions for support are given on both sides of the border, so from here on it mostly depends on the EGTC and the future project owners to fill the initiative with successful content.

CESCI is honoured of taking an active role in the professional background work, which – thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade – is provided as a member service for MURABA EGTC – for free.
