The MURABA EGTC has become an age-friendly region

The MURABA EGTC had a successful application in the INTERREG Slovenia-Hungary Cooperation Programme. The project called “MOTIVAGE” has a budget of EUR 338,960 and it is going to be executed between March 2020 and September 2022. The overall aim of the project is to develop a cross-border age-friendly region between organisations supporting older people in the regions of Lendava and Szentgotthárd by creating long-term cooperation. The cooperation helps older people stay healthy, live independently and actively participate in societies. The specific aim of the project: creating a strategic framework for age-friendly public services; providing preventive healthcare and home-based assistance by renewing the signalling home assistance system; increasing older people’s active participation is societies and economies. The project enables the creation of a cross-border assessment and strategy of the elderly’s situation in order for the elderly cooperaiton to work more efficiently in the region.
