EGTC monitor – Analysis, information, support

Our organisation, the Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives has been providing professional support for establishing and developing EGTCs (European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation). We are now expanding this supporting activity with another tool, the information platform of European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation.

During our work, a huge amount of data, information and knowledge was accumulated regarding the operation of the EGTCs since almost one third of the already established EGTCs in the EU were set up with Hungarian participation, sharing this knowledge at EU level is useful as well. With that in mind, we started to develop the EGTC monitor. Our aim was to create an online platform that provides assistance for people interested in the topic as well as people directly involved in the topic.

The EGTC monitor makes three types of information available with the help of three different modules:

  • EGTC - the tool

On the one hand, the ‘EGTC – the tool’ module gives a comprehensive picture of the EU tool itself: what the tool is, what it can be used for, how it can be established, and the module also makes the most important national and international literature directly available for the users.

  • EGTC - infohub

On the other hand, the ‘EGTC infohub’ module describes the operating Hungarian EGTCs in detail. It provides direct access to the most important strategy documents and publications of certain EGTCs, presents their completed and ongoing projects, and reports the news and events of the EGTCs.

  • EGTC - databank

Finally, the ‘EGTC databank’ module provides an insight into the territorial processes in areas covered by certain EGTCs, with geoinformatics support and different statistics indicators.

We are launching our dynamic database hoping that the users will find all the information they are looking for regarding EGTCs

Happy browsing!
