Leadership Academy of the Council of Europe at the Hungarian-Ukrainian border

In the last years our association managed to establish a fruitful cooperation with the Centre of Expertise for Good Governance of the Council of Europe. As a result, CESCI organised the first Hungarian-Ukranian local leadership academy focusing on cross-border coopeation, in partnership with the Tisza EGTC and with the support of the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The partners organised this training series of three occasions with the involvement of European experts in Yanoshi and in Kisvárda. The training conducted the participants along the way from strengthening local governance to the conditionality of the establishment of cross-border intermunicipal cooperation. Apart from the organisational tasks, CESCI also compiled a resource map for the Ukrainian mayors. At the closing event 15 local leaders and experts were handed their certificate.
