A Hungarian-Slovenian economic and development agreement has been signed

| 02 March 2022

A Hungarian-Slovenian economic and development agreement was signed by the Hungarian and Slovenian prime ministers on 21 February in Lendava. Under the agreement, the parties will provide 5-5 million EUR per year for the development of the Mura and Rába regions between 2022 and 2026.

The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding last year to establish a fund to support the development of the two ethnically mixed regions. Since then, at the technical level supporting the initiative, CESCI has also contributed to the professional background work. Within the framework of our public benefit activity financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, we will continuously support the MURABA EGTC, which is preparing for the management organization of the future program, with its professional contributions in the successful construction and professional preparation of the process.

We wish local actors every success in launching and operating this regional cooperation!
