The Integrated Territorial Strategy of Rába-Danube-Váh EGTC (HU)

At the request of the RDV EGTC, the Development Agency ‘Southern Region’ drafted the cohesion analysis of the EGTC in 2012, with the assistance of CESCI. The document has been drafted following a new methodology; its aim was not to examine the region-level territorial-administrative units participating in the cooperation, but to focus on the weaknesses and the strengths of territorial, economic and social cohesion, determining cross-border cooperation, in certain areas. Following this methodology, the strategy also considers it a priority to strengthen the internal cohesion ensuring the legitimacy of the EGTC cooperation, as this makes the stable institutional structure of the grouping visible and justified. Therefore, the overall aim of the strategy is the cross-border, integrated development of the EGTC.
