The b-solutions 2.0 call for proposals is open until 21 October

The b-solutions is an initiative of the European Commission’s DG REGIO and the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) addressing local actors in border regions. Eligible applicants are public bodies and cross-border structures.

The aim of the initiative is to enhance integration by finding solutions to legal and administrative obstacles which hinder cooperation across land and maritime borders, like different laws regulating local public transport systems or lengthy administrative procedures to recognise diplomas obtained in the neighbouring country.

Selected cases will receive technical assistance from experts who suggest potential solutions to overcome the obstacles on various thematic areas: institutional cooperation, public services, labour market and education, European Green Deal. The report of the expert is a useful tool for local actors to move towards a possible solution.

Moreover, the evidence collected will help raise awareness on cross-border cooperation and on ways forward to promote solutions at the local, national and European level to support border regions.

The current call for proposals will stay open until 21 October 2022. Public bodies and cross-border structures are warmly invited to take advantage of this initiative and receive support to solve obstacles that limit collaboration across national borders.
