Focus Group on the Romanian-Hungarian border

The Jean Monnet network « Borders in motion » (Frontem) was launched on 18 November 2019. Under the leadership of Sciences Po Strasbourg, the project aims to benchmark of and to provide a tool-kit on different border management systems and the evolving perception of borders by the citizens.
As part of the project, on 19 May 2022 two focus group workshops were organised by the Institute of European Studies of Babeş-Bolyai University and CESCI in Cluj-Napoca with the participation of Hungarian and Romanian border experts and the international project partners. In the morning section, changes in the border regime were discussed, and in the afternoon, the perceptions of citizens on the border were discussed by the participants.
