OTKA application with the participation of CESCI experts

| 25 February 2022

With the participation of CESCI staff, the Faculty of Law of the University of Szeged submitted a research application entitled “Perspectives and Obstacles to the Cohesion of the Visegrád Group in the Framework of Multilevel Governance” to the National Scientific Research Fund (OTKA).

The aim of the research led by Dr. Edit Soós is to explore the shortcomings of intergovernmental cooperation in the development of V4 and to examine an alternative model according to the multi-level governance paradigm. The four-year research examines how to deepen convergence along the common values and objectives of the Visegrad Group, primarily through initiatives implemented at the subnational level, and researchers will make recommendations in this regard.

On the one hand, CESCI experts will be tasked with analyzing the projects of the International Visegrad Fund to date in terms of how their proposals have been integrated into the policies of the four countries and on the other hand they will assess the added value of cross-border projects for the evolution of cross-border governance.
