Working group meeting to dismantle cross-border obstacles

The 9th meeting of the working group on innovative solutions for cross-border obstacles, was held in the building of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on December 18, 2018, with the participation of our colleague. At the meeting, Nathalie Verschelde (Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy) informed the audience about the negotiation process for the adoption of the proposed regulation on the mechanism concerning the elimination of legal and administrative obstacles in a cross-border context (the so called ECBM Regulation). The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) shared the experience of the first call for proposals for the B-solutions initiative. Moreover, the directors of the Eurometropolis EGTC and the Maas-Rhein Euroregio held their presentations; the former presented their B-solutions project, the latter introduced the potential of the accessibility mechanism recommended in the proposed regulation.
