The Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians

The study, written by Rudolf Bauer PhD, director of CESCI Carpathia (Košice, Slovakia) analyses the Carpathian Framework Convention which was signed by seven cooperating parties in 2003, and which aims to support multi-sectoral policy coordination and joint strategies for sustainable development. The author analyses the Carpathian region and the frames of the Convention, the common visions, general objectives, working groups, the Secretariat and outputs of the most interesting projects of the Convention.
