The convention and statutes of the ECR EGTC

The Euro-Contrôle Route (ECR) which is a professional network on transport, based in Brussels, commissioned CESCI in 2015 to provide technical support for the establishment of a network EGTC. In recent years, the process has progressed extremely slowly, as a total of 14 Member States’ transport authorities have expressed an interest in cooperating. Therefore the founding documents of the EGTC, which is due to be established in the Netherlands, had to be adapted to the legislation of 14 different countries.

During 2019, the foundation process reached the approval stage in the member states, which primarily resulted in consultations with the relevant authorities for the legal expert of our association (mainly with the Polish, Romanian, French, Irish and Hungarian authorities). As a result of the consultations, the text of the Statute and the Convention had to be amended on several points.
