Partnership building workshops of the Via Carpatia EGTC

| 12 December 2022

On the 15th and 29th of November the Slovak-Hungarian Via Carpatia EGTC organised the first partnership building workshops designed to prepare the proposals for the next Interreg CBC calls. Several dozens of regional stakeholders attended the workshops and proposed project ideas.

The first workshop of the EGTC was held in Malá Ida (SK), while the second one in Tarcal (HU). In both cases, the events started with short presentations. The first results of the 2nd phase evaluation of the former Slovakia-Hungary CBC programme (2014-2020) were presented by Gyula Ocskay, secretary general of CESCI. Tünde Erényi, representing the info-point Košice of the programme talked about the new Slovak-Hungarian cross-border programme, its priorities, funding opportunities and the expected calls. The territorial action plan for employment of the Via Carpatia EGTC was presented by Monika Szalay, the Small Project Fund managed by the grouping was introduced by Andrea Sedláček, while the participants were informed about the results of the educational and social projects implemented by the Via Carpatia by Nicolette Olléová – all of them form part of the EGTC’s team.

The potential project holders had the opportunity to ask questions related to the presentations, then they were given project sheets on which they could briefly present their project ideas. The collected ideas are now being analysed and classified by the Via Carpatia team. After the thematic classification, in January working groups will be set-up by topic. These working groups will identify the potential projects and their funding opportunities within and beyond the CBC programme. CESCI has been assigned to support the development process of the planned tourism-based territorial action plan of the EGTC.
