Contribution of CESCI to the chapter on districts of the Public Administration Reform (HU)

In 2012 CESCI formulated its nonpaper on the chapter on districts of the Public Administration Reform. The message of the contribution is divided into three parts:

• first, it draws attention to the anomalies of the proposed territorial demarcation and the incompatibility of the county-level system;
• then it highlights some important aspects regarding the territorial transforming effects of the state border and the consequences of opening the state border (especially the issue of border agglomerations);
• finally, it addresses the impact of the administrative reform on EGTCs and their regulation, which are the innovative solution to cross-border cooperation.
