Cross-border cooperation and development in the light of Euro-Atlantic integration process along Hungarian borders (HU)

The first part of the study summarizes the results of the conference “Framework for Cross-Border Cooperation and Development in the 2014-2020 Budgetary Period”. The conference was held on 14 February 2014 at the Falk1 Event Center in Budapest, organized by the Hungarian Atlantic Council and the Edutus University.

The second part of the study deals with the process of European integration and Hungary’s non-EU borders. For Hungary, the Euro-Atlantic integration processes started in Central Europe in the 1990s brought serious opportunities in terms of security policy and territorial economic and social cohesion.

Finally, in terms of Serbia and Ukraine, the authors subsequently analyse the future possibilities and chances of joining the Euro-Atlantic integration processes, and through this the “border dissolution”.
