Legal accessibility among V4 countries

In 2018, the project supported by the International Visegrad Fund was launched to facilitate the elimination of obstacles to mobility between the four Visegrad countries by the set-up of a permanent common mechanism. The partners analysed the model of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2018, considered a model to follow, and they compared it to the decision-making procedures of the Visegrad countries. The study discussing the above topic was published at the end of January, 2019.

The partners compiled a practical guide based on the above in 2019, called the Information and cooperation handbook. The aim of this document is to provide guidance for government officials and decision-makers for the creation and operation of a potential Visegrad-level legal accessibility platform. We expect the platform to reduce the number of legal obstacles that complicate cross-border labour and student mobility, the provision of health and social services, the development of transport connections, etc.

The closing conference of the project took place in Košice on 20 June 2019.
