SECCo2: Youth for cross-border partnership and cohesion of EUSDR and EUSAIR

Together with AEBR, CESCI Balkans and the Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia (ISIG), CESCI received a grant support at the Danube Strategic Projects Fund. The aim of the project was to promote cross-border cooperation, especially among young people, and thus to continue the first SECCo project implemented in 2013-2014, which had explored the frameworks and experiences of cross-border cooperation within the Danube Region.

As part of the 2018 SECCo2, the partners have developed a knowledge platform that includes e-learning curricula, an online library on border studies, a resource map and a collection of best practices, as well as an opportunity to network and keep up to date with organisations in the two neighbouring macro-regions. As part of the project, between 29 and 31 May 2018, the partners organised the 10th Cross-Border Youth Forum in Tivat, Montenegro,  which provided an opportunity to further strengthen the Youth Leadership Platform launched by AEBR – for which a guide was also prepared.

The results of the project were also presented at the annual Danube Forum in Sofia on 17 October 2018, and then at the Danube Strategic Project Fund networking event on 31 October 2018 in Vienna.
